Six, weekly hour and a half online sessions Tuesday afternoons 4:30-6:00 Eastern Time • This Cohort Session runs November 10th through December 15th. Nine professional development hours available. Tuition includes your choice of one of Jen's books or teaching tools. Limited to 20 participants.
During these unprecedented times, educators and facilitators are working hard to adapt and innovate in hybrid, physically distant, and remote learning environments. Support, co-creative problem-solving, and collaboration with other educators is needed now more than ever before. In response, Jen Stanchfield has adapted her Inspired Educator, Engaged Learner workshop into an online professional development series offering educators a combination of practical tools and techniques, mentoring, and moral support.
Join this dynamic program and fill your toolbox with experiential, brain-based methods to inspire, motivate, and increase meaningful social-emotional learning and academic engagement. Build a positive and supportive culture for learners as we begin the 2020-21 school year in this challenging new teaching and learning environment.
This workshop offers:
- Engaging community building, connection, dialogue, and reflection activities designed to enhance academic, group development, and social-emotional learning and promote learner buy-in, voice, and choice
- Facilitated time to connect, collaborate and problem-solve with other educators who are facing similar challenges and successes
- A collaborative exploration of experiential, brain-based methods to teach, practice, and assess academics and training in a trauma-informed and equitable way while cultivating communication, collaboration, problem-solving, self and social awareness, and reflection
- Exploration role of the educator/facilitator as guide, and the importance of flexibility, attitude, adaptation, and awareness of group and individual needs and differences
Enliven hybrid, remote, and physically distant academic, training, and social-emotional content delivery and assessment with active, learner-centered engagement techniques to enhance involvement, reflection and retention for participants of all ages. Gain practical methods, creative inspiration, positive connections, networking, and support from peers from across the country.
The workshop includes a choice of one of Jen's books or teaching tools. In order to encourage collaborative learning and community building, each series/cohort group's capacity is 20 participants.
"Time flew by during this session! I was actively engaged the whole time and took away tools I will use right away with my groups."
"Great info. Also, the breakout rooms were structured enough to not be awkward. The introverts thank you...
"This is just what I needed! I put the entry activity, breakout group techniques, and dialogue sparking ideas to use with my college students right after the workshop ended!"
"I look forward to these sessions every week! I savor the time in our workshops. It has truly helped me serve my students. My 5th graders LOVED the Team Tally activity you showed us. Thank you for helping me feel more confident about facilitating breakout groups in Zoom."
