The Adventure Guild, in partnership with Outdoor Chattanooga, is proud to bring Jennifer Stanchfield, an acclaimed experiential educator, to Chattanooga for a unique training experience!

Join us for this engaging, interactive workshop and fill your toolbox with experiential, brain-based techniques to inspire, engage, and create lasting, meaningful lessons you can take back to your classroom, camp, or anywhere learning happens. Build a connected community, explore tangible ways to bring learning to life through thoughtful and focused reflection, and cultivate belonging, voice, choice, and ownership of your learning experience. Integrate group facilitation, training, or academic content with social and emotional learning. Enhance circles, advisory, group work, and meetingsand enliven the traditional sharing circle with active methods to increase emotional connection and depth of understanding.

Whether you are new to facilitation and teaching or a seasoned educator, join us for this workshop and take away creative inspiration and practical tools for engaging learners and weaving reflection throughout your program.

 Participants will explore:

  • Experiential, brain-based strategies to actively engage learners of all ages
  • Participant-centered ways to promote involvement, voice, choice, belonging, and ownership
  • Collaborative methods to cultivate belonging and build community
  • Novel and dynamic techniques to teach, review, and apply academic or training content in meaningful, relevant ways
  • Strengths-based methods to cultivate social and emotional skills
  • Engagement techniques to enliven meetings, circles, advisory, and other group work
  • Reflection tools to leverage “teachable moments,” bring learning to life, and create lasting lessons
  • Practices for becoming an intentional and reflective facilitator

Dates and Times     The workshop will happen on Sept 7, 2024 from 9:30am-3:30pm with lunch provided.
